I am a qualified and experienced CBT counsellor. I offer one-to-one counselling, based on a CBT approach, to individuals over the age of 18. Counselling takes place in a warm, positive and confidential environment.  Sessions last for 1 hour and can take place weekly, fortnightly, or to suit your needs.

I work with people with a wide variety of issues and I have a particular interest in anxiety and depression.
I use a range of problem solving approaches, working towards change because I believe that change is always possible.
I hold a number of qualifications including;
BSc MSc
PGCE
Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling
Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
Post Graduate Diploma in Consultative Supervision.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work within their code of ethics. I have many years experience of working as a counsellor in private practice and have previously worked for both Cardiff University and Newport University counselling services.

I have also worked as an associate counsellor for the mental health charity Cardiff Mind.
Prior to practicing as a counsellor in Cardiff, I have experience of working as a research scientist and as a teacher.

I am the founder and manager of Talking Therapy, a private counselling and therapy practice situated on Whitchurch Road in Cardiff. It is a warm, friendly and modern space with a number of counsellors and therapists working from the practice.

As a private counselling practitioner, I founded Talking Therapy – a discreet, warm and friendly environment in Cardiff from which I work as a counsellor, holding sessions with individual clients in a safe and confidential space.

From Talking Therapy I also offer services to other counsellors, including; the opportunity to hire therapy rooms, the opportunity to network with other counsellors in private practice and supervision.
